Books & Reference v1.0.26
Skupszop is a book trading app for the Polish secondhand market: scan a barcode to sell instantly, or buy used books graded by a four-tier condition system. Includes BLIK payments and charity payouts.
Skupszop is a book trading app that covers both sides of the secondhand market: you can scan a barcode to get an instant price quote for books you want to sell, then ship them off without negotiating, and you can also browse and buy used titles with a four-tier condition system. It's aimed at turning shelf clutter into cash.
Most resale platforms force you to become a miniature store owner: write titles, set prices, respond to lowball offers. This app removes that entire layer. The barcode scanner is the entry point, and the quote comes back almost immediately, which makes the whole transaction feel closer to a vending machine than an online marketplace. You don't need to write descriptions, you don't stage photo shoots, and you don't exchange a single message with a buyer.
You place each book into one of four states: new, like new, good, or tracked. The tracked tier is the interesting case, because it covers visible library wear and reading creases that most trade-in services won't accept. In my testing, the quote shifted noticeably when I switched condition grades, so the category isn't cosmetic. The label controls the quote.
On the buying side, you choose a delivery location that fits your routine. Unpaid orders can be combined into one shipment, so you're not paying separate delivery fees. Payments run through BLIK, online wallets, or standard bank transfers, and the app promises payouts within 24 hours of pickup. There's also a charity payout option, which sends the proceeds from a sold book to a donation rather than your own account.
Skupszop isn't a fit for everyone. The catalog leans heavily toward Polish-language titles, because the service is built around the Polish market — that's evident from the BLIK integration alone. Collectors looking for English first editions or niche academic works won't find much here. I found the scanner sometimes misses worn or faded barcodes. Check each cover before you scan a whole stack, and set the camera permission to 'while using the app' if your Android version allows it.
How long does payout take after pickup?
Payout speed depends on the payment method you pick. The stated target is 24 hours after pickup, though bank processing can stretch that window.
Can the payout go to charity?
Yes, the platform includes a charity option that sends the proceeds to a donation instead of your wallet. It doesn't change how you prepare the parcel or how fast the sale clears.
Does Skupszop work outside Poland?
The APK installs on any Android phone, but the catalog and payment methods are built for the Polish market. You can use it abroad, though available titles and payout options will be limited.
