After a few weeks of using it on a Fire Stick and an old Android phone, I found it handles even large M3U files without lag, which is rare for free players.
One standout feature is how Televizo handles multiple playlists side by side. You can load a local M3U file and a URL-based list at the same time, then switch between them or merge channels. The EPG integration works better than expected—most players mess up the schedule parsing, but this app aligns program data from XMLTV sources fairly reliably. I’ve used it to keep my national news channels in one list and international sports in another, all under the same interface. That said, the EPG setup isn’t automatic; you have to manually point to the correct URL or file, which might frustrate casual users who just want a plug-and-play experience.
Televizo lets you change themes, font sizes, and even the player engine itself. You can switch between its internal video player or an external one like VLC—a useful workaround if a certain codec isn’t supported natively. Language options are extensive, covering most European and Asian subtitles, but don’t expect perfect OCR-based captions. Another practical detail: you can download recorded live TV to watch offline, but only if the source stream allows it, and the recording feature is limited to a single channel at a time. I often use the download option with news channels during commutes, but the file format isn’t adjustable, so storage can fill up fast if you record hour-long broadcasts.
No IPTV player is perfect, and Televizo has its share of rough edges. First, the app does not include any built-in channel search or guide overlay on the video—you have to browse the EPG grid separately, which feels outdated. Second, while it supports Chromecast, I found the casting laggy when streaming 4K IPTV feeds, probably due to lack of hardware acceleration support for some Android TV boxes. Third, if you rely on parental controls or user profiles, this app lacks them entirely; everyone sees the same playlist. Also, the modified “mod APK” version often advertised online removes ads and unlocks premium features, but it also strips update checks, meaning you risk bugs from outdated builds. Stick to the official Google Play version if you want stability.
