Setting up a home security system used to feel complicated, but Dekco simplifies the process by turning your smartphone into a reliable monitoring hub. I installed the app on my Android phone and connected it to a compatible camera within minutes, and now I can check on my living room from anywhere.
The initial pairing took less than five minutes. After creating an account and scanning the QR code on the camera, the app guided me through Wi-Fi connection and angle adjustment. I placed the camera on a shelf facing the front door, and the live feed appeared crisp on my phone even in low light. The interface is straightforward, with a single tap to switch between day and night modes.
Motion detection works reliably during the day, sending a push alert within a second or two. I tested it by walking past the camera, and the app captured a short clip each time. However, I did notice that at night, the detection range drops to about eight meters, so you need to position the camera accordingly. The alert frequency can be adjusted from the settings, which helps avoid being overwhelmed when pets move around.
Dekco relies on a stable Wi-Fi connection. If your router is far from the camera, the live stream may buffer or show lower resolution.
