It lets you see a doctor via video, check lab results, renew prescriptions, pay bills, and store medical records in one place. The real value? Skipping the waiting room for minor issues like sinus infections or skin rashes. I’ve used it for a quick urgent care visit while traveling, and the whole process took under 20 minutes from starting the video call to getting a prescription sent to a nearby pharmacy.
The core workflow is straightforward: sign up using your existing AdventHealth patient ID or create a new account with insurance details. Once inside, the home screen shows upcoming appointments, recent lab results, and a button to start a virtual visit. What surprised me was how smooth the prescription refill process is — you pick your medication, select a pharmacy, and the doctor reviews it within a few hours. No phone tag with the front desk.

On the technical side, the app can feel sluggish when loading large PDFs (like a full pathology report). It’s not a dealbreaker, but don’t expect snappy performance when fetching years of records.
Another realistic downside: the app doesn’t let you message your primary care doctor directly. You can send a message to the clinic’s general inbox, but replies often come in 1–2 business days. For quick questions about medication side effects, that wait can be annoying. Lastly, some users have reported that the video call sometimes fails to connect if both parties aren’t on the same Wi-Fi network version (e.g., 5GHz vs 2.4GHz). Restarting the app usually fixes it.

AdventHealth works best as a companion to your existing local provider network, not as a standalone healthcare solution.
